Pastor Steve Traw continued his sermons Sunday from Nehemiah with Chapter 6, “Rebuilding a Nation: Work at a Higher Level.”
It took 52 days to complete the wall around Jerusalem. It is important to remember the walls were in complete ruins and workers needed to be aware of invaders as they worked.
Each worker donated what they could with skill and motivation to do a good job — a model that still needs to be followed today with our daily jobs.
Honor God through your work. Your good work is known to the Lord, even if you do not receive any acknowledgement from others.
The church’s Thanksgiving dinner will be Sunday at the Fellowship Hall. A special thanks goes to a visiting pastor for playing his guitar and singing for the congregation.
Also, a thanks to Glen Cunningham for filling in at the piano and playing a trumpet solo, “God Bless America” in honor of Veterans Day.
