“On the Road to Emmaus” was Pastor Chase Riebel’s 7th installment of the Resurrection series based on Luke 24:13-34. After His resurrection, Jesus was walking with two of His followers on the road to Emmaus but they did not recognize Him. When He asked them why they were so sad they told Him a prophet and teacher had been crucified in Jerusalem.
For the communion meditation Brant McGhee talked about how we are cleansed with no effort on our part. Just like when the rains come they wash the earth clean, grace falls from Heaven and we are washed clean.
Lexy Langworthy led worship accompanied by Ashley Riebel. Band members were Jake Riebel, Anna Lance and Ben Prasko. Songs were “You’re a Good, Good Father,” “Jesus Messiah,” “Glorious Day” and “What He’s Done.” Lexy read scriptures from Phil 2:9, Ps 78:35 and 1 Peter 3:18.
