Iola High School’s Class of 1965 will gather for its 60-year reunion during Iola’s Farm-City Days Celebration Oct. 18.

Classmates will gather along North Jefferson Avenue at 10:30 a.m. to ride in the parade before reuniting at 2 p.m. for a tour of Iola Elementary School.

They’ll then go to the John Silas Bass North Community Building from 4 to 6 o’clock, a meeting open to the public, and especially other Iola alums.

A catered meal follows at 6 p.m., with the IHS band providing entertainment.

Alumni are selling $1 tickets for a chance to win a raffle made by Nancy Parish. Participants need not be present to win.

Maggie Barnett, one of the event organizers, is looking for contact information on alums Jackie Robinson, Bill Thomas, Harold Blake, Ginger Donohue-Henson and Richard Hudson. She can be reached at (620) 380-1814.
