The regular monthly meeting of the Prairie Rose 4-H Club was called to order on Sunday, Aug. 10, at the Moran United Methodist Church. The roll call was “What famous person would you like to meet?” It was answered by eight members, one Cloverbud, and two leaders.
Community leaders reported that officer books and record books are due at the September meeting. Community leaders also reported that if you are entering projects into the state fair, that entries need to be to the extension office by noon on Sept. 3. The extension agents will transport most projects to the state fair.
During recreation and song time, members signed up for officer roles they want to be elected to during the next 4-H year. Members were also asked to come up with ideas for theme nights and roll call ideas during recreation and song time.
The next meeting will be Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. The theme is patriotism. Officer elections will also be held at the September meeting. Kason Botts won the school picture attire theme night. Kylar adjourned the meeting by saying the 4-H motto.
