MORAN — Marmaton Valley High School’s Kansas Association for Youth (KAY) Club hosted its ninth annual “Trick Or Treat So They Can Eat” campaign Nov. 1.

The students went door-to-door for an hour in search of non-perishable food items and toiletries.

They ended the events by feasting on cookies, hot cocoa and apple cider, having collected more than 1,700 food items and $150, which will be donated to Hope Unlimited.

The haul was the largest ever, KAY Club sponsor Kelci Botts noted.

Volunteer drivers Wendee Bennett, Kent LaRue, Sheila Jefferis, Amy Welch and Teri Shaughnessy helped transport the students.
