Thirty hearty participants endured a muggy Saturday morning in the inaugural John Brown Duathlon.
The event required participants to sandwich runs of 5 and 10 kilometers around a 40k bicycle ride.
The route took the group from Iola to Colony and eventually John Browns Cave south of Iola.
The event was sponsored by Southwind Cycle and Outdoors.
