KwiKom Communications, which provides wireless provider of internet and digital phone service, has acquired Seamless Data Systems, an Emporia-based internet technology company that provides computer repair and networking support to Emporia and the surrounding area.
The acquisition was announced this week in a news release.
Seamless’s wireless internet coverage area includes Emporia, Americus, Reading, Neosho Rapids, Hartford, Olpe, Admire, Miller and the surrounding areas.
Following the acquisition Seamless Data Systems will continue to provide full-service IT support, computer repair, and networking support.
KwiKom, which is based in Iola, said in the press release it will immediately begin work upgrading the network.
KwiKom is a local fixed wireless and fiber internet service provider, covering a network area of more than 10,000 square miles over 20 counties in eastern Kansas.
