Megan Cook, Iola, and Derrek McKarnin, Gas, will join in marriage on Aug. 2, 2014, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Iola.
Megan is the daughter of Jeff Cook and the late Teresa Cook, Iola, and the granddaughter of Glenna LeValley and the late Clayton LeValley, Olathe, and Ruby Cook, Iola, and the late Carl Cook.
Derrek is the son of Danny McKarnin, Gas, and Susie McKarnin, Iola. He is the grandson of Jack and Jeanne Mc-Karnin, Gas, and Emma Dolen, Iola, and the late Herbert Dolen.
Megan received her associate degree from Pittsburg State University and is owner and operator of Munchkinland Daycare and Preschool in Iola.
Derrek received his bachelor’s degree in automotive technology from Pittsburg State University. He works at O’Malley Equipment in Iola.
