Driver arrested
A traffic stop Tuesday evening at the intersection of Chestnut and Broadway streets led to the arrest of Marcus Morrison, 47, Yates Center, for suspicion of distributing methamphetamine, possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving against restrictions and illegal registration.
Burglary reported
Iola police officers were called to D&R Plumbing Wednesday because of a burglary reported there.
Several items were taken, including a hand gun, candy and money.
