Arrests reported
Iola police officers arrested Steve Holtz Monday evening for suspicion of driving while suspended and no proof of insurance in the 1400 block of East Street.
Gary Tomasi and Eric Berger, both of Pittsburg, were arrested for suspicion of aggravated assault and theft Saturday in the 1900 block of North State Street. A subsequent search of a vehicle in the 800 block of Industrial Road led Iola police officers to request both also be charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Drug paraphernalia found
Iola police officers said they discovered drug paraphernalia in the 10 block of North Washington Avenue Saturday.
Hit-and-run reported
A vehicle owned by Teresa Brooks was parked at Russell Stover Chocolates in the 1900 block of Marshmallow Lane Saturday when somebody struck the vehicle and left the scene without reporting it.
Motorcycle hit
Michelle M. Smith was backing her car in the 500 block of North Jefferson Avenue Oct. 5 when she struck a parked motorcycle owned by Korbyn Fountain.
Mailbox damaged
Richard Klingensmith told police Saturday his mailbox was damaged in the 200 block of North Kentucky Street.
