Arrests reported
Helen Gray was arrested Saturday evening for suspicion of battery in the 600 block of South Cottonwood Street.
Iola police officers arrested Veronica Hinkle Saturday in the 600 block of North First Street for suspicion of battery, aggravated assault, driving while intoxicated and criminal damage to property.
Jaden Majors and Mariah VanNice were arrested just after midnight Friday morning for suspicion of battery and drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of McGuire Drive.
Officers arrested Joyce Myers for suspicion of theft in the 800 block of East Madison Avenue Thursday.
Motorcyclist injured
Isiah I.A. Trester was injured Feb. 18 when he crashed his motorcycle on Colborn Street, just south of Carpenter Street Feb. 18.
Iola police officers said Trester was northbound on Colborn when he had to make an evasive maneuver to avoid running over a dog that was chasing his vehicle and crashed.
Utility pole struck
Cole D. Hines was eastbound on U.S. 54 when his sport utility vehicle crossed the center line and left the roadway, striking a fence and utility pole Feb. 22.
Hines was not injured.
Cell phone recovered
Iola police officers found a cell phone Thurdsday evening in the 600 block of North Washington Avenue.
Vehicle damaged
Derick Peterson told Iola police officers Feb. 23 that somebody damaged his vehicle, although he was uncertain where the vehicle was located when it was damaged.
