Vehicle stolen

Allen County sheriff’s deputies were notified of a vehicle theft from Sigg Motors in Iola May 30.

A suspect was identified, and information has been forwarded to the Allen County Attorney’s office.

Flooding causes wreck

Devon West told deputies June 3 that in attempting to avoid a flooded 1600 Street, about three miles southeast of Humboldt, his vehicle had gone off the roadway and into the ditch.

The following day, after the water had receded, the vehicle was towed from the scene.

West, who was wearing a seat belt, was not hurt.

Driver reports assault

Nickolas Hutson, Petrolia, reported Friday that he had been assaulted inside his vehicle by a 17-year-old male while driving on 800 Street two miles north of Petrolia, causing him to wreck his vehicle.

An Allen County sheriff’s deputy, assisted by the Humboldt Police Department, investigated the incident, and information will be forwarded to the Allen County Attorney’s Office.

Drowsy driver crashes

Bryce Culbertson told sheriff’s deputies Saturday he had fallen asleep while driving on 600 street, about 3½ miles northwest of Humboldt. His vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert. Culbertson, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.

Arrests reported

Allen County sheriff’s deputies arrested Alex C. Son, 28, Humboldt, Sunday for suspicion of violating a protection from stalking order.

On Thursday, Jon D. Bower was taken into custody at the Allen County Courthouse and booked into the Allen County Jail on a Neosho County warrant.

Johnathon L.R. Burris, 31, Emporia, was booked into the Allen County Jail June 2 on a probation revocation warrant.
