The Iola AA Indians had their season come to an end in a Kansas American Legion Super State showdown against Pittsburg AAA Post 64 on Friday, 3-2 and 6-0. Iola led for six innings in game one before Pittsburg scored three runs in the seventh inning. The Indians then had trouble both pitching and hitting in their season-ending loss.

The Indians were crowned Kansas American Legion AA state champions after defeating Concordia the weekend before.
