Forty donors showed up to give blood Wednesday through the bloodmobile set up in Iola.
The Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City collected 37 units of blood, organizers reported.
Of those 40 donors, eight were deferred. Twenty-seven whole blood donations were reported. Five donors provided a total of 10 Alyx units.
