Chip-seal in the works

Iola's annual chip-seal work will begin Monday and last for about two weeks.

West Jackson Avenue in Iola is among the targeted areas for the city to resume its annual chip-seal resurfacing project, starting Monday.

Crews will target areas north of U.S. 54 to Monroe Street and west of Cottonwood.

On-street parking will be prohibited during work hours.

The work is projected to take about two weeks.
