Calls will be accepted until 5 p.m. Thursday for Iolans wishing to have items picked up for Iola’s annual spring cleanup week.
Those wishing to be included should call 365-4903.
City crews will pick up yard debris, freon-free appliances, furniture, small lumber and miscellaneous items placed alongside a street or alley. Residents are asked to keep yard waste separate from household items.
Items should be set out before 6 a.m. Monday.
No tires, auto parts, hazardous materials, wet or lead-based paint, ammunition, demolition or construction debris will be picked up. If those items are mixed in with other debris, crews will not pick up at that address.
