Scott L. Bedell, 19, Humboldt, was arrested Saturday night for alleged sexting crimes, not James L. Bedell.
A press release given to the Register by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department contained the wrong name and date. A call from the sheriff’s department to correct the name came to the Register at 1 p.m. Tuesday, after the day’s newspaper had been printed.
Sheriff’s personnel said they deeply regretted the error, particularly since there is a James Bedell living in Allen County.
