COLONY — City Councilman Steve Wallace was sentenced earlier this month to 18 months probation, in lieu of 15 months in prison, for distributing marijuana.
Two other charges from an October 2010 incident, contributing to a child’s misconduct and no drug tax stamp, were dismissed in a plea agreement, the Anderson County Review reported.
Wallace was re-elected to the Council April 5, after he had been charged, and was the top vote-getter among five candidates.
Wallace resigned during Wednesday’s council meeting.
