Iola City Council members Steve French and Ken Rowe, who represent Iola’s Fourth Ward, will host a town hall-style meeting for the community Thursday evening.
The 6 o’clock meeting will be at the Iola Middle School commons area.
French said questions of all sorts regarding city business are welcomed. And while the discussions would be targeted for Fourth Ward residents, anyone in Iola is invited to attend.
“We really haven’t had an opportunity to talk with our constituents since we’ve been in office,” French said.
The Fourth Ward runs east of Cottonwood Street. Its northern border is bounded by Carpenter, Second, Douglas, Kentucky and East streets. It includes Iola Middle School, McKinley Elementary School and Allen County Hospital, until a new hospital is built on the northeast edge
of town.
