County sets rules on Internet use

Allen County commissioners Tuesday approved several employee handbook changes.
County Counselor Alan Weber included comments about Facebook participation and other use of the Internet.
Notations tell employees they aren’t permitted to use the venue to harass other employees, post photographs of county property or equipment or make the public sensitive to county information through Internet communications.
Commission Chairman Gary McIntosh applauded the Internet inclusions, recalling, “About 15 years ago we were looking for some family information and got a response just recently. Once something is on the Internet, it’s there forever.”
