Two people were arrested after a traffic stop led to what officers described as more than 100 pounds of marijuana being seized from a rural Elsmore home Wednesday.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, Kenneth Covey, 36, and Jill Arrowood, 37, were arrested for suspicion of cultivating and possessing marijuana with intent to sell the drug.
The arrests followed a traffic stop which led to Deputy David Ingle requesting a search warrant for their home at 3770 Idaho Rd.
Sheriff’s deputies said they found more than 230 marijuana plants, as well as other items associated with the sale, distribution and cultivation of illegal narcotics.
Charges are being requested through the Allen County Attorney’s office.
