A printer’s error on envelopes designated for Salvation Army donations will not prevent funds from reaching their proper destination, organizers said.
The envelopes were inserted into Saturday’s Register, an annual fundraiser for one of the world’s largest social aid providers.
The correct address to mail donations to the Salvation Army in Iola is: Iola Service Unit, c/o Janet Wilson, 600 E. Garfield St., Iola KS 66749.
Any donations sent to the incorrect address — a printing company in Lawrence — will be forwarded to the Salvation Army, said Amanda Waters, divisional director of community relations for the organization.
“We apologize for this error and any inconvenience it may have caused,” Waters said.
