SAFE BASE students have begun to learn the finer points of fencing.

A dozen SAFE BASE students have spent the past few sessions learning the finer points of fencing, courtesy of Allen Community College student and SAFE BASE instructor Imani Lemon, a lifelong fan and participant of the sport.
The school district also received several pieces of equipment donated by the Topeka Fencing Club to help with the class.
The next round of SAFE BASE classes, including another session for fencing enthusiasts, will begin after Spring Break.
