Local and state police are investigating the death of Iolan Gabriel Toothman, 24, at 733 Wilson Lane in Iola Tuesday morning.
Iola Police Chief Jared Warner said Toothman was found unresponsive shortly after 7 o’clock.
Warner said in a press release that circumstances surrounding initial interviews prompted him to contact the Kansas Bureau of Investigation to assist with the investigation.
An autopsy was performed, Warner said. Results are pending.
