Ash Wednesday kicks off a series of Lenten breakfasts at 7 a.m. each Wednesday at local churches.
Wednesday’s breakfast, the first of the Lenten season, is hosted by Iola’s First Presbyterian Church.
Future breakfast dates are Feb. 21 at Iola’s First Christian Church, Feb. 28 at Calvary United Methodist Church and March 7 at St. John’s Catholic Church.
The breakfasts are sponsored by the Iola Area Ministerial Association. The public is invited.
