County commissioners certified the Nov. 4 general election results at their meeting Monday.

Of the nine provisional ballots reviewed, two were disqualified. One because the voter was registered in another county and the other lacked any registration, said County Clerk Shannon Patterson.

Two local races ended in ties — Gas Council and Savonburg City Council — each requiring drawing a name to determine the winners.

In Gas, four write-in candidates received one vote each. They were Matt Boeken, George Greiser, JD Harris and Chris Holloway. Their names were put on slips of paper and drawn from a bowl by Commissioner John Brocker.

Greiser’s name was drawn.

In Savonburg, four write-in candidates received two votes each. These included Richard Barnum II, Chuck Lekrone, Nora Lewis, and Justin Woods. Once again, Brocker drew a name, and Lewis was selected.

The official election results, with write-ins and provisional ballots counted, are as follows:

Allen Community College Board of Trustees, 3 seats

Becky Nilges: 1,363

Jenny Spillman: 1,252

Jessica Thompson: 1,192

Write-in: 28

Bassett Mayor

Larry Crawford: 2

Bassett City Council, 5 seats

Carol Crawford: 2
