The Iola Area Symphony Orchestra will provide a free concert for the community at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Bowlus Fine Arts Center.

Saturday’s Iola Area Symphony Orchestra’s concert will be offered to the community at the Bowlus Fine Arts Center.

The orchestra will perform an eclectic selection ranging from “Star Wars” to “Appalachian Morning.”

Of special note is that nine Allen Community College students are part of the orchestra as well as pianist Karen Lindstrum of the La Cygne area. The orchestra draws performers from across Southeast Kansas.

Patrick Matarazzo, ACC music instructor, directs the orchestra. The performance begins at 7 p.m. in the main auditorium. Admission is free.
