Iola High School and Iola Middle School band students got in plenty of “play” time Saturday during their annual Practice-A-Thon at Iola’s downtown square.

The practice-a-thon is one of the music department’s largest fundraisers of the year. The students receive financial pledges for playing a certain amount of hours. Proceeds go to help defray expenses.

The students were under the direction of music instructor Brandi Holt.
