A group of juveniles suspected of causing damage to the fairgrounds earlier this month are also suspected of damage and theft to the football stadium nearby and a business, according to Iola Police.

The damage and theft at the stadium at Riverside Park was only recently discovered. Windows were found to be broken and a microphone sound board was stolen.

The same group also is suspected in a break-in at R & R Sales.

Police arrested three juveniles, all under the age of 14, soon after damage and vandalism was discovered at the fairgrounds on Feb. 6. More juveniles are suspected of participating.

It is not yet known if the group is responsible for a separate vandalism incident on Feb. 15.

Those who have information can call the Iola Police Department at 620-365-4960. Those who wish to remain anonymous can also call Allen County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
