The Iola Municipal Pool will be closed to the public Friday and Saturday. Iola Swim Team is hosting the 2010 SEK Swim League Championships Saturday.
The closure Friday is to ready the pool for the eight-team meet which begins at 9 a.m. Saturday. Teams from Humboldt, Chanute, Erie, Cherryvale, Fort Scott, Independence and Coffeyville, as well as the Iola Seahorses, are competing.
The pool will reopen to the public on Sunday.
In a related matter, the swimming public will be granted free access to the pool all day Wednesday for its second and final free swim day of 2010. No admission prices will be charged.
