Thirteen Allen County Community College students entered diversion agreements for their roles in an April 8 ruckus that found its way onto the Internet site YouTube.
The diversion agreements were entered Wednesday in Iola Municipal Court for Melvin Baldy-Gray, London, England; Julian F. Christian, Longwood, Fla.; Jermina A. Dawson, Milwaukee, Wisc.; Aeriss B. McNeese, Junction City; Kynesha J. Nisbett, Mc-Kinney, Texas; Cameron L. Parker, Nassau, Bahamas; Kyle E. Piliant, Topeka; Keythra D. Richards, Bahamas; Christian Rodriguez-Zamora, North Las Vegas, Nev.; Eric G. Tomlinson, Catoosa, Okla.; Samuel D. Travis, Wichita; Keevis Tukes, Orlando, Fla.; and Olnel Virgile, Zolfo Springs, Fla.
Through the terms of the agreements, the charges of unlawful assembly will be dismissed if each of the defendants avoids other criminal charges over the next six months. Each was fined $267 and ordered to complete 20 hours of community service.
A total of 38 citations were filed stemming from the April 8 incident, in which a fight was recorded and posted on YouTube. College administrators caught wind of the brawl a few days later and notified police.
Charges were filed against everyone who could be identified in the video.
Several other cases from the incident remain pending.
