High school and middle school students will be on the hunt for pet items Monday afternoon.
The students, part of the Every Monday Matters SAFE BASE club, will partake in a scavenger hunt to collect items for Allen County Animal Rescue Facility from 3:45 to 5 o’clock.
Students are seeking blankets and towels, paper towels, “tearless” shampoo, collars and leashes of all sizes, bleach, dish soap and pet carriers and kennels.
The students will canvass homes near the schools.
Others wishing to donate items can call the SAFE BASE office at 365-4780.
Every Monday Matters is a weekly community service group that has done everything from picking up trash around town to planting flowers and trees around the courthouse square and visiting a local nursing home.
