The Iola Register’s news and advertising teams earned top honors at the Kansas Press Association’s annual awards banquet Friday in Salina, winning sweepstakes awards in both divisions for the seventh consecutive year.
Competing among small daily newspapers statewide, entries were judged by the Texas Press Association.
On the advertising side, graphic designer Kristi Kranker earned multiple awards, working alongside marketing director Violeta Stauffer-Rodriguez.
In the news division, contributions by Richard Luken, Tim Stauffer, Sarah Haney, Vickie Moss and Susan Lynn led to another strong showing.
