LAHARPE — A Sunday morning accident sent four LaHarpe residents to the hospital.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a van driven by Nora C. Lewis, 37, was northbound on Jefferson Street in LaHarpe when it struck an eastbound van driven by Robert D. Arnett, 78, at the intersection with Ninth Street.
Lewis was injured, as were two passengers, Alyssa Lewis, 11, and Sean Lewis, 9. A fourth occupant, Elizabeth Lewis, 4, was not injured.
Robert Arnett was not injured, but his passenger, Carrie Arnett, 74, was, according to KHP.
All of the injured were transported to Allen County Hospital. All passengers were wearing seat belts or in child safety seats.
