Agnes B. Hammer, 95, Iola, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Allen County Hospital.
Agnes was born March 29, 1918, on a farm west of Iola, the daughter of Rollin C. and Nellie (Bassett) Butler.
On April 4, 1937, Agnes married Willard Hammer and they made their home and farmed on the family farm. He preceded her in death July 18, 2001.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Iola.
She is survived by three sons, Alvin Hammer, Menifee, Calif., Donald Hammer, Iola, and Lavon Hammer, Colony; one sister, Esther Weiland (Les), Iola; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Rollin L. Hammer, and three sisters, Mildred Heffernon, Marion Hood and Grace Hartman.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Iola.
Memorial choice is First Church of the Nazarene and may be left with Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
