Ambrosia “Amber” Dawn Weide passed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013.
Amber was born on Dec. 30, 1978, to Stephen L. and Jeannie M. Tippie Weide in Iola.
She made her home in Iola where she was born and raised.
She owned and operated Amber Weide Daycare out of her home for 10 years helping raise and love many children.
She is survived by her daughters, Bayleigh Weide and Khloeigh Shafer; her parents; brothers Eric (Judy) Weide, Iola, Chris (Alicia) Weide, Iola; close friend Chuck Shafer, Iola; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Amber was preceded in death by her grandparents Harvey and Florence Weide; Earnest and Maxine Tippie; C.E. “Junior” Ross; Uncle Phil Weide; and Aunt Margaret Walters.
On Nov. 3, 2013, at 1 p.m. Amber was baptized at the in-patient unit at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.
Amber lived her life for her children, they were her joy. Amber was loved by everyone and time will not heal our broken hearts.
She fought her battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma for eight years with grace and courage, always smiling and never complaining. A stronger woman we will never meet.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. To celebrate Amber’s life, services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. also at the funeral chapel. Her daughters request guests wear bright colors to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to a college fund for Bayleigh and Khloeigh, which may be left with Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola.
