Former Kincaid resident Charles Aca Powers, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, in Arlington, Va. after a yearlong battle with cancer.
He was a civil engineer who worked all over the world and ultimately retired to Costa Rica.
He is survived by his wife, Rocio C. Powers; his children, Carol Rabig, Brian Powers, Craig Powers, Karla Siegel and Michelle Haase; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Church, 750 Peachtree St., Herndon, Va.
