Dorothy B. “Dottie” Young, 94, Iola, passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at Tara Gardens in Iola.
Dottie was born June 16, 1919, in Henry, Ill., the daughter of Henry and Christina (Schlosser) Hank. She was baptized in the Catholic Church and was retired from Gates Corporation.
Survivors include one daughter, Jan Scheibmeir and husband, Donald, Piqua; four granddaughters, Cindy Spoon and husband, Bill, Abrey, Texas, Cathy West and husband, Tim, Yates Center, Cheryl Fulsom and husband, Doyle, Hankamer, Texas, and Chris Sevart and husband, Doug, Buffalo; three great-grandsons, Jeremy Heckman, Kema, Texas, Nicholas Duncan, Iola, and Jared Fulsom, Hankamer, Texas; one great-great-granddaughter, Hannah Duncan, LaHarpe; and seven step-grandchildren and their families.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Clarence and Harold Hank.
Cremation has taken place.
Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Henry, Ill., at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility and may be left with Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola.
