Ernest Fredrick Crane, 86, of Virgil died Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, in Virgil.
He was born Feb. 12, 1924, near Gridley, to Fredrick and Laura Bell (Vannocker) Crane.
On July 23, 1945, he married Blanche Van Arsdale in Burlington.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Floyd and his wife, Leota, Lyle, Ronnie and his wife, Margene, and Leonard and his wife, Linda; four daughters, Birdie Maxson and her husband, Jerry, Edna Benson, Betty McKenzie and her husband, Charlie, and Dorenda Snyder and her husband, John; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A daughter-in-law, Neva Crane, son-in-law, John Benson, two grandchildren, nine brothers and four sisters died earlier.
Services will be at 2:30 this afternoon at Van Arsdale Funeral Home in Le Roy. Visitation will be from 2 o’clock until service time. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Burlington.
