Gary Dean Brown, age 69, of Independence, Mo., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at 7:20 p.m. He was a born-again Christian baptized at Ridgeview Baptist Church Sept. 7 in the year of 1983.
Gary died at home surrounded by family and friends holding his hands as he passed away.
Gary was born Aug. 27, 1942, in Denver, Colo., to Albert and Easter (Hutton) Brown.
He grew up in LaHarpe, Kan., and he graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1960.
Gary worked for the telephone company for 34 years until he retired.
Gary and lna Goss were married on July 4, 1979.
Gary enjoyed model railroading, watching his favorite basketball team the Kansas Jayhawks, reading the Bible and he loved building things, woodworking and also playing with his pets that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and his grandson, Mason Allen.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, lna, three daughters, two sons, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces and nephews and their families and many friends.
Gary was loved so very much and he will be greatly missed.

Lynn Court Dr., Independence, MO 64055-3360. Some of the treatment he received, gave all of us a few more precious moments with Gary and a few more hugs, kisses and smiles.
He will always be in our hearts and thoughts of good times past, we will cherish him till we get to see him again in heaven someday.
