Kathleen Joyce Dillon, 49, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at her home in Humboldt. She was able to enjoy a wonderful 49th birthday celebration shortly before losing her long battle to cancer.
She was born June 11, 1962, in Chanute, to Michael and Bernice (Coffey) Dillon. She grew up east of Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1980. She also received a bachelor of arts degree from Southwestern College in Winfield, with a double major of art and English.
She liked to paint pictures and write prose and poetry. She especially enjoyed her pets and spending time with her friends. She worked as a personal caregiver for more than 15 years until ill health forced her to give it up.
Kathleen will be missed by her siblings, Michael, Humboldt, Virginia Dillon, Chanute, and Margy Dillon, Oklahoma City, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
