Lisa Dion (Jensen) O’Brien passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Deseret Health and Rehabilitation Center in Yates Center. She was 49.
Lisa was born Aug. 29, 1963, in Iola, the daughter of Lewis Brooke and Mary Jane (Stephens) Jensen. Lisa was raised in Yates Center and attended Yates Center Schools. She was baptized in Neosho Falls Methodist Church. Lisa enjoyed the outdoors. She liked to hunt, fish and garden.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, her long-time partner and significant other, Mike Yoho, and one brother, Chris Jensen.
Ms. O’Brien is survived by her siblings, Durenda Frye and husband Jim, Iola, Debby Carlyle and husband Alan, El Dorado, Jimmy Jensen, Neosho Falls, and Tammy McHone and husband Mac, Yates Center; nieces and nephews, Shelly Wagner and husband Bryson, Stephanie Morrison and husband Mike, Haley Chrisman and husband Burt, Yates Center, Erica Chaffin and Kylie Carlyle, Independence, Kristen and Cody Jensen, Iola, and Mark Jensen, Texas, currently on active duty overseas; great-nieces and nephews, Remi Wagner, Kinley and Harper Morrison, Boston Chaffin, Gage and Deeanna Hannum and Riley Albert; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services are at 10 a.m., Friday at Campbell Funeral Home, Yates Center.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday.
Private inurnment will take place at a later date. The family suggests memorials be made to “Friends For Life” of Yates Center, which may be sent in care of Campbell Funeral Home P.O. Box 188 Yates Center, KS 66783.
