Mary Barbara Sigg, 92, of Iola died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Windsor Place in Iola.
She was born May 22, 1918, near Leoti, to Aloysius and Barbara (Goetz) Kleymann. She attended school in Moran and graduated from the College of Paola in 1938.
She taught school in Scipio until her marriage to H.E. (Gene) Sigg on June 4, 1940. He died Sept. 17, 2006.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and enjoyed playing cards and reading.
She is survived by six children, Carl, Mountain View, Calif., Carol Murphy, Grand Prairie, Texas, Raymond, Martinez, Ga., Mike, San Antonio, Texas, Richard, Carlyle, and Cathy Kendziorski, Midland, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel in Iola.
Parish Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. The Rev. Robert B. Wachter will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Humboldt.
