Former Iolan Nancy Lou Sutton, 57, of Arkansas City died Wednesday, May 11, 2011.
She was born Dec. 16, 1953, in Iola, to Calvin and Nadine (Marsh) Sutton. She attended schools in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1971. She also attended Allen County Community College and Pittsburg State University. She received her degree in social work.
She liked animals and always had cats and dogs.
She is survived by a daughter, LuAnn Girod of Hayward, Calif.; her mother, Nadine Sutton, Mesa, Ariz.; three sisters, Loretta and her husband, Rex Ellis, and Marilyn and her husband, Don Sharp, Iola, and Sarah and her husband, Richard Colvin, Keller, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Sutton.
Cremation has taken place.
Graveside services will be announced at a later date.
