Raymond Edward Johnson, 72, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, in Olathe.
He was born Sept. 20, 1938, in Elsmore to LeRoy and Ruby Johnson.
On Oct. 20, 1956, he married Patricia Franklin. They raised their family in the Olathe area. He was employed with Simmons Guns for 20 years and went on to retire from a career as a driver for Clarkson Construction Company after 25 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda and her husband, Jeffrey Redenbaugh, and Peggy and her husband, Winston Ant-wine; grandchildren, Jennifer Redenbaugh and Ashley and her husband, James Funk; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Wolfe, Donna Frank-lin and Amy Breiner; and brothers, Bob Johnson and Allen Johnson.
His wife died in 2007, and his brothers, Charles and Raymond, and a sister, Phyllis, also died earlier.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe. Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
