Rhonda Lea (Ard) Steele, 65, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Rhonda was born July 28, 1960, in Chanute, to George D. Ard and Janice C. (Laver) Ard.
Rhonda graduated in 1978 from Humboldt High School.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Lickteig.
Rhonda is survived by her parents; son, Steven (Lori) Lichtenwalter; daughter, Stacy Biffle; and partner, Everett (Skip) Couch.
A graveside memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 29, in the new pavilion building in Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt.
Memorials are suggested to the Rhonda Steele Memorial Fund to help with funeral expenses. Checks are to be made payable to Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola.
