Richard Eugene Huston Sr. 78, of Chanute, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025.
Richard was born Nov. 3, 1946, in Marmaton to John Henry and Rose Marie Huston. Richard was raised alongside three brothers and one sister. He graduated from LaHarpe High School as well as Allen County Community College. He then enlisted in the United States Navy.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Donna Huston and Cece Huston; as well as infant daughter, Amanda.
Richard is survived by four children, Dorothy (Russ), Billy (Sonia), Gene (Melinda), and Georgieanna (Kevin); as well as 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his current love, Elaine.
Cremation has been requested and a celebration of Richard’s life will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, at Central Park Pavilion in Chanute.
