Ronald Eugene Johnson, age 83, of Chanute, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at Diversicare Nursing Home of Chanute.
He was born April 19, 1942, in the Savonburg area, the son of Harold and Doris (Nelson) Johnson. He contracted polio at the age of 6 and was paralyzed from the waist down.
Ronald married Mary Lou Farnham in 1995. She preceded him in death shortly after their 25th wedding anniversary.
Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Friends Home Cemetery, also known as the Swedish Cemetery, in Savonburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends Home Lutheran Church and left in care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
