Visitation for Rosella M’Lee Hillbrant of Iola, whose death Wednesday was reported in Thursday’s Register, will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapels in Iola.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stark United Methodist Church. The Rev. Pauline Clugsten will officiate.
Cremation will follow the service.
She was born Dec. 9, 1935, in Stark, to O.M. and Elma (McCormick) Dunham. She graduated in 1953 from Grant High School in Stark. She was also a graduate of Neosho County Community College and Pittsburg State University with a degree in elementary education. She taught school in numerous communities over the years.
On Nov. 6, 1964, she married Lester L. Hillbrant. They lived in Iola until 1969 when they moved to Olathe. In 1979 they returned to Iola to make their home.
She was active in 4-H activities and was a member of Stark United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Leann Buethner and her husband, Matt, Augusta, and Rhonda Nash and her husband, Dale, Kearney, Mo.; a brother, J.R. “Dick” Dunham, Manhattan; and three grandchildren, Rachel and Michelle Nash and Karleigh Buethner.
