I have been contacted by local citizens regarding the site of the new hospital. Many are not in favor of the site by the current medical clinic because of the costs associated with the purchase of the land and the contamination issues at the site. These extra expenses are taking money away from the future needs of the hospital, including technology and equipment. We concerned citizens in Humboldt ask that the board reconsider its selection and find land out near a major highway for the site of the new hospital.
